InSSIDer is a program which allows you to scan and analyze the status of wireless networks around your computer.
To use this program you do not need to configure anything, you only need to have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or better and the program will automatically be ready to make analysis of your surrounding networks.
Once this program is active, InSSIDer begins to analyze data of the wireless networks nearest to you in real time. It shows you data like MAC address, the ESSID, channel, type of security (WEP, WAP...) etc, and also shows a bar graph that will show you the strength and location of each networks detected in the accessible channels of your network card.
InSSIDer can be of great use to help you troubleshoot your Wi-Fi connection and also to help you get the most out of your wireless network.
